Protecting Urundel REDD+ from Wildfires

Neighboring human activities—deforestation through burning, crop residue fires, or tire burning to prevent frost—spark fire hotspots that threaten to spread to our forest. Our team’s constant monitoring and early detection are crucial, with patrols tirelessly scouting nearby areas to stop uncontrolled fires before they reach the Selva de Urundel REDD+ project.

Community awareness helps reduce risky practices.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated crew for their unwavering efforts in safeguarding our ecosystem!
