Why REDD+ Projects Matter

*Critical for Climate Action

REDD+ projects reduce CO2 emissions by curbing deforestation

*Biodiversity Protection

They conserve vital ecosystems, protecting species and maintaining services like water regulation and carbon storage.

*Community Engagement

No communities reside within this REDD+ project area, but activities from neighboring zones cause degradation. Actively involving these neighboring communities empowers them to drive change, yielding tangible benefits through their direct participation. This fosters enduring shifts in forest management practices that span multiple generations.

*Ongoing Relevance

Their holistic approach delivers environmental, social, and economic benefits, making them key to sustainable development.
