About the event
Continuous Fire Monitoring: Protecting the Area and Reducing Leakage Risk
Continuous fire monitoring patrols play a vital role in safeguarding the project area and its neighboring zones. Using advanced tools, such as the Ororatech software in this example, they detect hotspots in real time and activate immediate response protocols based on the severity of the situation.
This effort not only prevents the spread of fires into the project area but also protects nearby ecosystems from degradation. By tackling fires in these adjacent zones, the Urundel Jungle team significantly reduces the risk of leakage—the displacement of emissions from fires outside the project—thereby amplifying the initiative’s positive impact and reinforcing conservation goals in surrounding areas.
Their work ensures a swift and effective response to risks, protecting both the project and its environment!
