About the event
The capybara (from Guarani "ka'apiûara," meaning "master of the grasses"), also called carpincho (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), is the world’s largest rodent and thrives in the rivers of the Urundel REDD+ Jungle Project. These social swimmers enrich the ecosystem, boosting biodiversity.
Fun Fact: They’re friendly neighbors! They live peacefully with many species, creating a unique community, supporting the food web and habitat health.
